Roy Hodgson leaves Liverpool – Kenny Dalglish steps in

Well it has been coming.

After the dismal 3-1 defeat at Blackburn Rovers in midweek, Roy Hodgson has left Liverpool by ‘mutual consent’ prior to the FA Cup 3rd round tie against Manchester United at Old Trafford tomorrow.

The former Fulham boss relinquishes the reigns after just 6 months in charge and will be replaced by Anfield favourite Kenny Dalglish, at least until the end of the season.

Not a bad baptism for ‘King Kenny’ – a trip to your most fierce rivals. Liverpool fans have got their way with the return of their former boss – can it cause an upturn in their fortunes? We’ll have to wait and see.
