Chelsea back in the title race thanks to boys from Brazil

Brazilian duo David Luiz and Ramires both scored as Chelsea defeated Manchester City 2-0 at Stamford Bridge this afternoon, to get Carlo Ancelotti’s side back in the Premier League title hunt.

David Luiz celebrates his opening goal

The Blues are now in third place in the table, nine points behind leaders Manchester United, with a game in hand, whilst they must also visit Old Trafford later in the season.

The experienced Blues are well and truly back in the title hunt especially with United’s defensive problems, due to injury’s and suspensions, and Arsenal’s fragility.

Earlier in the day, Liverpool earned a 2-0 win over Sunderland at the Stadium of Light. A Dirk Kuyt penalty in the first period, and an individual goal from Luis Suarez in the second gave Kenny Dalglish’s side the win. John Mensah, the Ghana international defender, was sent off for the home side.
