Tottenham Hotspur and Wales winger Gareth Bale has declared himself fit for the clash against England at the Millennium Stadium on Saturday.
The powerful wideman completed his first 90 minutes since picking up a back injury in January during Spurs 0-0 draw with West Ham United last weekend.
And following a six-week spell on the sidelines, the 21-year-old’s availability will be a big boost for Welsh boss Gary Speed in his first competitive match in charge.
“I had my first 90 minutes on Saturday and was a bit stiff after the game and the next day” said Bale.
“But I have recovered well and am just getting prepared for the weekend now.”
If the Three Lions can nullify the threat of the fantastic 21-year-old, then they’ll stand a terrific chance of coming away from Cardiff with three points. If Bale is allowed to run riot, then Speed’s side will have more than a chance of picking up their first points towards qualification for Euro 2012.
