Ghana’s Kwadwo Asamoah will be looking to use England friendly to secure Premier League move

Kwadwo Asamoah - Udinese midfielder looking to the Premier League

Ghana midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah will be looking to use the Black Stars friendly with England tonight to showcase his talents and put himself in the shop window for prospective Premier League employers.

The 22-year-old attacking midfielder currently plies his trade in Serie A with Udinese, who are chasing a Champions League place after showing some excellent form this season, but Asamoah is said to be very keen on a move to England.

The predominantly left-footed Asamoah was a key component in his countries run to the World Cup quarter-finals in South Africa last year, and has gone from strength to strength this season, being chief supplier to Udinese’s dynamic forwards – Antonio Di Natale, the Italian international and club captain, and Alexis Sanchez, the fleet-footed Chilean.

Whilst those two have earned the majority of plaudits, Asamoah’s form has been slightly under the radar, but it hasn’t gone completely unnoticed, with the likes of Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal all having been linked with summer moves for the schemer, and all will be sending scouts to see him in action at Wembley tonight.

Although his club won’t be keen on selling a player who is seen as one of Africa’s most promising – they’ve reportedly placed a £25m price tag on his head to warn off interested parties – they have always been one who has struggled to hold on to their most promising young players.
