Arsenal lack a winning mentality – Cesc Fabregas

Arsenal skipper says his side lack the winning mentality that the 2003/04 'Invincibles' possessed

“For me, it’s a lack of a winning mentality, also of maturity in key moments. We have plenty of quality but lack this bit of confidence,”says Arsenal skipper Cesc Fabregas, on his sides inability to win silverware in the last six years.

Fabregas, 23 and a European Championship and World Cup winner for his country, also told Spanish Magazine Don Balon:”The ‘Invincibles’ knew how to win games, when to dig in, when to attack,” he said, concerning the Gunners side which went the entire 2003/04 season unbeaten.

“They had a special intelligence to read games.

“Now we are very young – Robin van Persie has won an FA Cup as I have but there’s no more trophy winners.”

Couldn’t agree more Cesc.
