Romelu Lukaku not interested in Chelsea move if he’s to be loaned out

Romelu Lukaku - keen to keep developing

Anderlecht’s teenage powerhouse striker Romelu Lukaku has stated that he is in no rush to leave the Constant Vanden Stock and would not be interested in a move to Chelsea if it means being sent out on loan instantly.

18-year-old Lukaku is seen as one of the ‘stars of the future’ in world football and has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge, with reports between the two clubs suggested to have taken place.

Yet the youngster – tipped as a potential long-term replacement for Didier Drogba – has no interest in moving to Stamford Bridge to be farmed out on loan, as the Blues have done with young goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, Lukaku’s Belgian international team-mate, who joined Atletico Madrid after completing his move from Genk.

Lukaku told Belgian TV station VTM: “When I do leave, it will not be to be loaned out as Thibaut Courtois has been.

“I want to go to a club where I can develop further. It’s not that I just want to be transferred to Chelsea.

“At the moment, I am patient. I remain at Anderlecht and I am not thinking of a transfer.”

One Response to Romelu Lukaku not interested in Chelsea move if he’s to be loaned out

  1. As a chelsea fan it has always been my desire to see this outstanding club come out with a striker who equal Dedier Drogba in strength, skill and goal scoring. Romelo Lakuka is young but outstanding and also have the Chelsea mental attitude and I think he is the kind of striker we need at the moment in Chelsea. I want to use this opportunity to wish Lukaku a successful stay at Chelsea and God’s favour as well, UP CHELSEA 4 LIFE.
